Condition

These variegated Rhodesian Teak blocks have tongue and groove fixings. The parquet may have a dry glue on the surface which will sand off with a coarse grit paper. Before buying your parquet we recommend you request a sample  so you know what to expect.

There is a layer of tacky bitumen on the bases. The professional adhesives available these days will fuse with the bitumen and stick successfully without the necessity of removal. You can buy our recommended adhesive SikaBond 5500s on our website.

The blocks will require some preparation, prior to laying, particularly along the edges. This will give a tight fit and therefore a better finish.  The floor will need several good sanding passes after the completion of the block laying.
